Acton Campaign Expands Team, Announces Four Senior Staff Hires

COLUMBUS, OH – Today, Amy Acton’s campaign for Governor announced four additions to their senior team. Maggie Boyle has been named Digital Director, Jordan Hawkins has been named Political Director, Adelaide Bullock will serve as Communications Director, and Jessie Burton joins the team as the Ohio Finance Director.

“We are thrilled to be expanding our team in the fight to stand up against the special interests and lobbyists who have made life unaffordable for families in our state and to ensure that we never look away from Ohioans who are struggling,” said Dr. Amy Acton. “Our team is battle-tested, understands the unique issues facing our state, and is ready to defeat Vivek Ramaswamy and deliver for Ohioans.”

Maggie Boyle, Digital Director, came to Team Acton in July after serving as Senior Political Advisor for Congressman Greg Landsman’s campaign and Special Projects Assistant for his congressional office, and as Deputy Digital Director on Sherrod Brown’s 2024 Senate race. She previously spent four years as a senior entertainment and media editor at Warner Music Group in New York City. She is a native east-side Clevelander and is a graduate of Shaker Heights High School and Ohio University.

Jordan Hawkins, Political Director, joins Team Acton after serving as Political Director for Rob Richardson’s 2018 campaign and later Deputy Engagement Director for the Ohio Democratic Party. He has also served as President of the Ohio Young Black Democrats and as Executive Director of the Ohio House Democratic Caucus—the youngest and first Black man to hold the role. Most recently, he coordinated Tiara Ross’s successful campaign for Columbus City Council. He is a native east-side Clevelander and a graduate of Benedictine High School and Otterbein University.

Adelaide Bullock, Communications Director, previously served as the Georgia Communications Director for the Harris-Walz presidential race. She joins Team Acton from BerlinRosen, and previously served as national press secretary for 314Action. She has worked extensively in Democratic politics, campaigns and advocacy issues, and is a graduate of Colby College.

Jessie Burton, Ohio Finance Director, joins Team Acton from Bellwether Strategies, where she managed fundraising programs for State Rep. Phil Robinson and the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party. Before transitioning into political fundraising, Jessie spent over 20 years at First American Title, a Fortune 100 company, where she served as Vice President of Operations. Jessie is a lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio and attended Miami University.

“Team Acton is excited to have experienced, committed senior staff join our team as we focus on defeating Vivek Ramaswamy and delivering much needed relief for Ohioans struggling to navigate rising costs,” said Philip Stein, Team Acton Campaign Manager. “This team will continue to build on our campaign’s momentum and elect Amy Acton this November.”
