Acton Campaign Manager Statement on Vivek Ramaswamy’s Desperate Self-Funding

Today, Amy Acton Campaign Manager Phil Stein released the following statement in response to Vivek Ramaswamy’s desperate move to dump $25 million of his own money into the race:

“Vivek Ramaswamy and his allies are panicking because Ohioans are rejecting his scam proposals that would raise costs for working families, gut funding for schools and public safety, and make life even harder for Ohioans. He can continue throwing money at his campaign from the seat of his private jet, but Ohioans see right through his false promises. We’re building a grassroots campaign powered by supporters from every corner of this state. While our opponent tells Ohio that affordability is just a ‘buzzword’, Amy is fighting to make life better for Ohio’s working families by lowering costs, tackling corruption and building a state where everyone can get ahead.”

Ramaswamy’s announcement comes after yet another recent public poll that shows the race is tied. His approval rating is underwater, despite him spending more than $20M, including millions on paid ads.
