Acton Campaign Statement on Passage of Gas Tax Holiday

COLUMBUS, OH– The Ohioans for Amy Acton campaign released the below statement following the Ohio Statehouse passing a gas tax holiday:

“As the first candidate in this race to propose a gas tax holiday, Dr. Acton is glad the Statehouse has voted with bipartisan support to establish a gas tax holiday and provide Ohioans much needed relief at the pump,” said Virginia Schaus, spokesperson for the campaign. “Dr. Acton continues to show she is the only candidate in this race who cares about lowering costs, which is why she has also called on the Statehouse to pass immediate, bipartisan legislation to enact her conditional moratorium on data centers — unlike Vivek Ramaswamy, who has millions of dollars invested in data centers and called such legislation ‘too complicated.’ Ohioans know they can’t trust Ramaswamy to take their concerns seriously or make life more affordable.”
