Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighters Endorses Dr. Amy Acton in Cincinnati
Yesterday, the Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighters endorsed Dr. Amy Acton at a press conference in Cincinnati, where Dr. Acton shared her policies to make Ohio more affordable and OAPFF leadership highlighted Dr. Acton’s commitment to protecting Ohio’s unions, lowering costs for Ohio families, and putting working people first.
“I’m extremely proud and extremely honored to be able to announce that OAPFF has endorsed Dr. Amy Acton as our next governor of the state of Ohio,” said Jon Harvey, President of the Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighters. “Dr. Acton recognizes what collective bargaining means to this state, understands what unions mean to this state. She has stood on the picket lines with our brothers and sisters demanding better working conditions, better safety, better health for our members. That’s why it’s easy for us to stand with her.”
“It was often public safety officers and first responders who would find my brother and I in difficult circumstances, who would try to do something about it. I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for the folks that run toward fires and not away,” said Dr. Amy Acton, Democratic Candidate for Governor. “I’m ready to push back on the cost of corruption that we all pay for. I’m going to be fighting for our public schools. I’m going to be fighting for our first responders. I’m fighting for our hospitals. I promise that I’ll be fighting so that no one, no one in this state is ever unseen.”
