COLUMBUS, OH – Today, Ohio High School Democrats, College Democrats of Ohio, Ohio Young Black Democrats, and Ohio Young Democrats endorsed Dr. Amy Acton for Governor of Ohio, pointing to her commitment to tackling Ohio’s affordability crisis, fully funding the state’s public schools and plans to invest in workforce development for young people.
“Receiving the endorsement of Ohio’s High School Democrats, Young Black Democrats, College Democrats and Young Democrats is an honor. Ohio’s young people deserve a candidate who is fighting for a future where they can get ahead,” said Dr. Amy Acton. “That’s why I’m fighting to invest in our public education, prioritize workforce development, and lower costs so all Ohioans can thrive.”
“We’re proud to endorse Dr. Amy Acton for governor. As the four largest organizations fighting to build a better future for Ohio’s next generation of leaders, Dr. Acton is the only candidate in this race who will put Ohioans first. She’s ready to tackle the affordability crisis that is holding our young people back, fully fund our public schools and create economic opportunities for all of us,” said Kimberly Agyekum, President of Ohio Young Democrats. “Vivek Ramaswamy claims to care about Ohio’s young people, but we cannot trust an out of touch billionaire to put working families first when he calls us lazy, relocates his business from Ohio to Texas, and calls Medicaid a mistake. Ohio is ready for a change, and we’re proud to support Dr. Acton in this fight.”
