Western Reserve Building Trades Council Endorses Dr. Amy Acton’s Campaign for Governor
YOUNGSTOWN, OH– Today, the Western Reserve Building Trades Council endorsed Amy Acton’s campaign for governor, citing her commitment to lowering costs for working families, protecting Ohio’s unions, and building a state where everyone has a chance to get ahead.
The Western Reserve Building Trades, which serves Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull counties, is made up of 21 local unions and district councils. It is the fourth regional construction trades council to break with the statewide chapter, Affiliated Construction Trades (ACT), which endorsed Vivek Ramaswamy for governor.
Dr. Acton has been endorsed by several key labor groups in Ohio, including the North Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council, the Columbus/Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council, the Dayton Building and Construction Trades Council, the Ohio Nurses Association, the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, the Ohio Federation of Teachers, the United Auto Workers, the Service Employees International Union District 1199, the Communications Workers of America, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, the United Mine Workers of America, and the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 6.
