What Ohioans Are Saying: Ramaswamy and His Billionaire Friends Can’t Buy Us
COLUMBUS, OH– As out-of-state billionaires pour millions of dollars into Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign to bombard Ohio’s airwaves with blatantly untrue ads, voters are rejecting his divisive agenda and voicing their support for Dr. Amy Acton and her plan to lower costs and make Ohio more affordable for everyone.
Cleveland.com: Outside billionaires pour $36M into Ohio politics via Ramaswamy PAC
- Elon Musk is now the world’s first and only trillionaire… and has recently bought his way into Ohio state politics with a $5 million ante to V-PAC, the primary super PAC backing Vivek Ramaswamy’s scheme to govern the citizens of this state.
- Joining the attempt at influence-peddling are New York-based financier Ross Stevens’ $6 million, and Connecticut software entrepreneur Ratmir Timashev’s $5 million.
- Combined, these outsiders are clamoring to take over our state seemingly to influence our politics and policies.
- What is it they want from Ramaswamy? Tax breaks for business endeavors? Lenient policies for mega data centers? What is their big outside money telling us?
Cleveland.com: Ohio voter appalled by pro-Ramaswamy ad’s lies airing on broadcast TV
- [Vivek Ramaswamy’s] lies are many, and the TV ad runs a lot.
- I find myself appalled…
- We deserve honesty. And certainly, our kids and grandkids do, as well.
Sidney Daily News: Ramaswamy wants to divide us
- Not only did Ramaswamy advise Lt. Gov. Jon Husted on Ohio’s COVID-19 response, but he also lobbied to “segregate” Americans based on COVID-19 immunity by creating a national registry of Ohioans having immunity.
- Dr. Acton is running to bring our state together, regardless of political party or background, to build a safer, more affordable Ohio. She has always stood up for Ohioans, even when it meant making hard decisions to keep us healthy and safe in tough times.
- [Vivek Ramaswamy] even quit our state just months before beginning his campaign for governor by moving his business from Ohio to Dallas, Texas. Then, he even had the gall to label our workers ‘lazy’ and ‘mediocre.’
- This November, I’m voting to unite all Ohioans — I’m voting for Dr. Amy Acton.
Cleveland.com: Doctor backs Amy Acton for governor, citing her skills and public health record
- As a pediatrician with 45 years of experience, I know that caring for children takes hard work and dedication; you have to care for the whole family. Dr. Amy Acton gets this.
- She’s a well-trained pediatrician who understands what families need to be truly healthy. She knows how to make policies that support healthcare providers and health systems and all of the families they serve. She’ll fight to strengthen our health system during a time when it is under attack.
- Dr. Amy Acton grew up in Ohio in a tough community. She didn’t grow up with privileges. When she talks about children, you can tell that it’s from the heart.
- Her leadership during COVID was clear, compassionate, and medically right-on.
- She brought us together, helped us stay safe, and saved lives. She can do it again as governor.
Toledo Blade: Ramaswamy is wrong candidate
- Very soon, the lack of adequate funding will deliver the final blow to public education. If elected, Ramaswamy will deliver that blow.
- If Ramaswamy is elected, these union voices will be silenced.
- Ramaswamy aligns with private equity through his involvement in Strive Asset Management, a company that influences where pension dollars are invested. This should serve as a bright red warning flag! If Ramaswamy is elected, there will be no check on private equity firms and no guarantee of financial security for our public pension funds.
- With Ramaswamy, it’s all about control… control education, control unions, control public pension dollars, control Ohioans.
- Ramaswamy is the wrong candidate.
