Amy Acton Campaign for Governor Launches First Ad of Campaign, Highlights Commitment to Lowering Costs and Fighting for a Better Ohio

COLUMBUS, OH– Today, Dr. Amy Acton’s campaign for Governor released their first campaign ad, “Tent.” The ad focuses on Dr. Acton’s commitment to lowering costs for Ohioans, fighting for a state where all of us can get ahead and why her childhood experiences of abuse, homelessness and neglect made her into a fighter for Ohio.
“Ohioans know that Dr. Amy Acton is the only candidate in this race who they can trust to lower costs, take on the cost of corruption and build a state where all of us can get ahead,” said Philip Stein, Ohioans for Amy Acton Campaign Manager. “This is personal for her; she knows what it’s like to struggle. While Vivek Ramaswamy is calling for scam tax policies that take advantage of working Ohioans, Dr. Acton is fighting for us.”

I was 12 and we were living in a tent, but it made me tough and determined to find a way out.
I waited tables, delivered newspapers, anything to put myself through college and medical school.

Vivek Ramaswamy has spent nearly $35M dollars, mostly in attack ads that have been referred to as “inaccurate” and “misleading” against Dr. Acton. These attack ads include spending through his PAC, which is funded by out of state extremist billionaires like Elon Musk. The Cook Report recently shifted the race to “Toss Up.”
