COLUMBUS, OH: Today, The Communications Workers of America District 4 and the Industrial Division of the Communications Workers of America endorsed Dr. Amy Acton’s Campaign for Governor, citing her strong leadership skills, her commitment to working families, and her dedication to building a stronger Ohio.

Dr. Acton’s life story reflects the struggles and hopes of working families across our state,” said IUE-CWA President Carl Kennebrew. “Growing up in a poor community, she understands what it means to face hard times…and she’s never forgotten the people behind those challenges. Her empathy and commitment to lifting others up have guided her throughout her career in public service. Amy Acton is the kind of leader who listens and fights for what’s right. Dr. Acton has also received support from other labor unions across Ohio — including the United Steelworkers, The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, the Ohio Civil Service Employees Association, and the Lima Building Trades.
