Big Lead with Independents Shows A Clear Path To Victory
Multiple recent polls have found that Dr. Amy Acton is in a dead heat against Vivek Ramaswamy.
HIGH FAVORABILITY:
Acton continues to earn the highest job approval and net favorability ratings of any public/political figure in Ohio, of either party:
- In a July poll conducted by Impact Research, voters rated her job performance as Ohio Health Director positively by 10 points (in a sample that voted for Trump by 12). This was the highest net job-approval rating of any political figure from either party tested in the poll—more than double the next highest.
- Independents rated her performance as Health Director positively by a 15-point margin.
- In a new Bowling Green State University (BGSU) poll released last Friday, Acton has the highest net favorability (+5) of any Ohio political figure of either party.

COMPETITIVE VS. RAMASWAMY:
Acton has consistently been in the margin of error, tied or ahead of Vivek Ramaswamy in head-to-head polls:
- In the Impact Research poll, Acton’s strong, statistically tied position comes in part from an 8-point lead with Independents.
- In the new BGSU poll, Acton leads with Independents by 19 points, 54-35.
- In contrast to Acton, Ramaswamy is underwater with voters (-4) in the BGSU poll
- Ramaswamy has exceedingly high negatives for a candidate who has not faced paid media attack ads
- Ramaswamy’s unfavorable rating is 41 in the Impact Research poll
- Ramaswamy’s unfavorable rating is 39 in the BGSU poll
A 314 Action Fund memo in August showed that Acton’s non-partisan profile as a medical doctor has broad appeal, contrasting well with Ramaswamy’s profile, with room to grow in the General Election when voters learn more about her.
