Vivek Ramaswamy and Billionaire Allies Surpass $101 Million in Ad Spending Against Dr. Acton
Vivek Ramaswamy and his out-of-state allies continue to spend millions of dollars to spread AI powered lies about Dr. Acton
COLUMBUS, OH– As of today, Vivek Ramaswamy and out-of-state, billionaire-funded Super PACs have now spent more than $101 million in ads against Dr. Amy Acton, including $36 million in personal loans from billionaire Ramaswamy himself. His campaign is flooding the airwaves with attack ads against Dr. Acton in a desperate attempt to mislead Ohioans, use AI to distort reality, and spread disgusting lies about Dr. Acton and her family.
“Despite over $101 million spent against Dr. Acton by self-funding billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy and his out-of-state billionaire allies, it hasn’t moved the needle one inch,” said Philip Stein, Ohioans for Amy Acton Campaign Manager. “Ohioans are ready for change. While Vivek Ramaswamy continues to pour millions of dollars into misleading ads, Dr. Acton is traveling to every corner of the state and meeting with Ohioans to share her plans to lower costs and build a brighter future for the Buckeye State.”
Vivek Ramaswamy and V-PAC are backed by out-of-state billionaire donors:
- V-PAC has received donations from billionaires Elon Musk, Ratmir Timashev, Bill Ackman, and Ross Stevens. $12 million, or 98% of V-PAC’s second-quarter contributions, came from Musk, Timashev, Ackman, and Stevens.
- Jeffrey Yass, a Pennsylvania billionaire whose pet project includes pushing corrupt school voucher programs, has given “$30 million (at least)” to V-PAC.
