Ohio AFL-CIO Endorses Dr. Amy Acton’s Campaign for Governor
COLUMBUS, OH – Today, Ohio AFL-CIO Ohio endorsed Amy Acton’s campaign for governor, citing her commitment to working people, pragmatic, bold leadership, and ability to take on the special interests and corruption taking Ohio backwards.
Dr. Acton has been endorsed by several key labor groups in Ohio, including the Ohio Federation of Teachers, the United Auto Workers, the Communications Workers of America, the American Federations of State, County, and Municipal Employees, and the United Mine Workers of America.
“We are proud to enthusiastically endorse Dr. Amy Acton for Governor of Ohio. When we look at the choice for Ohio voters, it is clear that Dr. Acton stands with working people and consumers. She offers a much-needed change – from politicians beholden to special interests to leadership guided by doing right by all Ohioans, no matter your walk or life or what part of the state you call home,” said Tim Burga, AFL-CIO Ohio President. “Dr. Acton represents the kind of leadership working people can believe in – leadership that brings out the very best in all of us and strengthens our right to bargain for a better life.”
