Service Employees International Union District 1199 Endorses Dr. Amy Acton’s Campaign for Governor
COLUMBUS, OH – Service Employees International Union District 1199, which represents workers across Ohio, endorsed Amy Acton’s campaign for governor, citing her career of public service and deep commitment to Ohio’s unions and working families.
Dr. Acton has been endorsed by several key labor groups in Ohio, including the Ohio Federation of Teachers, the United Auto Workers, the Communications Workers of America, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, the United Mine Workers of America, and the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 6.
“I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of the Service Employees International Union District 1199. District 1199 represents nearly 25,000 healthcare, social service, and public sector workers, and I’m so proud to have their support,” said Dr. Amy Acton. “While my opponent won’t even say he’s pro-union, I will always put Ohio’s working families first and fight to keep our unions strong.”
