Ohio State Council of Machinists Endorses Dr. Amy Acton’s Campaign for Governor
COLUMBUS, OH– Today, Ohio’s State Council of Machinists endorsed Amy Acton’s campaign for governor, citing her commitment to protecting union jobs, lowering costs, supporting working families, and making Ohio more affordable for everyone.
There are 20,000 active and retired Machinists Union members across Ohio.
Dr. Acton has been endorsed by numerous key labor groups in Ohio, including the Greater Cincinnati Building and Construction Trades Council, Lima Building and Construction Trades Council, United Steelworkers District 1, the Western Reserve Building Trades Council, the Ohio AFL-CIO, the North Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council, the Columbus/Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council, the Dayton Building and Construction Trades Council, the Ohio Nurses Association, the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, the Ohio Federation of Teachers, the United Auto Workers, the Service Employees International Union District 1199, the Communications Workers of America, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, the United Mine Workers of America, and the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 6.
